2022 CLUB EVENTS
FESTIVAL ON THE HILL - OCTOBER 23, 2022
The Alleghany Cruisers were honored to be invited to host the first Festival on the Hill car show at Scott Hill Retirement Community. This would be the first car show hosted at this location since 2009. The event featured 29 cars along with several vendors and other activities. It was a beautiful fall day and the public support was great. All proceeds from this event were donated to the Alleghany Humane Society.
1ST ANNUAL HOLIDAY HOT ROD ROUND UP
OCTOBER 16, 2022
The Alleghany Cruisers hosted the 1st Annual Holiday Hot Rod Round Up at the Jackson River Sports Complex on Sunday October 16. This was a Christmas themed car show with the proceeds being donated to the local Salvation Army for their Angel Tree program which benefits area children in need during the Christmas season. The event was a success with 46 vehicles present and a good deal of money raised. Unfortunately the rain got us again and cut the event short by a couple hours. It was fun while it lasted though with a great atmosphere. The Alleghany Cruisers look forward to our 2nd Annual Holiday Hot Rod Round Up in 2023.
HIGHLANDS COMMUNITY BANK 20TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION - CRUISE IN PRESENTED BY ALLEGHANY CRUISERS - SEPTEMBER 24, 2022
Our friends at Highlands Community Bank put together an awesome event to celebrate their 20th Anniversary. The Alleghany Cruisers were honored to have been invited to host a cruise in as part of the evenings activities. With 43 cars present the cruise in was a great event, but that just scratched the surface of the evenings activities. The Fender Benders and Crowbar Cane both put on an excellent musical performance. There was a huge 3 on 3 youth basketball tournament and a large cornhole tournament, and the folks from Highlands Community Bank offered many promotions to thank their supporters. The public crowd was one of the largest in attendance at the Jackson River Sports Complex all year and the evening concluded with an awesome fireworks display from Keen Productions. A truly great evening.
CARS & COFFEE IV - SEPTEMBER 3, 2022
The Fall edition of Cars & Coffee kicked off on September 3rd. It was a beautiful morning. Attendance was light, but everyone had a great time socializing.
CRUISIN' COVINGTON IX - AUGUST 26, 2022
The final summer edition of Cruisin' Covington was a perfect evening. Thirty or so cars were out and everyone had a great time. Now work begins on how we can improve these events for next season in the hopes of drawing even larger crowds.
THE SUMMER CRUISE IN II - LOST IN THE 60'S AUGUST 19, 2022
The Summer Cruise In II - Lost in the 60's was a great event. The threatening skies may have held the crowd to 30 cars but the atmosphere was a great as the first Summer Cruise In. This event was all about getting out, spending time with friends, and enjoying the atmosphere of an old fashioned cruise in from days of old. It was a fun evening.
CRUISIN' COVINGTON VIII - AUGUST 12, 2022
Cruisin' Covington VIII was held on the eve of STREETSCENE and was a great event. Several folks from out of town that had come in for STREETSCENE took the opportunity to hang out with the Alleghany Cruisers and cruise with us. It was a great night with beautiful weather. A lot of cars came out to enjoy the town.
CRUISIN' COVINGTON VII - JULY 29, 2022
Cruisin' Covington VII had a little different spin on it than our typical "Cruisin'" events. Our friends at OldeTown Covington had a "Rock the Block" music event postponed earlier in the season due to the never ending rain that has plagued us this year. The make up date wound up on the same date as our event, so we combined the two. The crowd was a little down, probably due to the skies staying gray (but it stayed dry) but those of us that came out did some cruising then parked on main street to enjoy some great music from Gasoline Alley. Another fun night.
THE SUMMER CRUISE IN - LOST IN THE 50'S JULY 22, 2022
The atmosphere was electric, the crowd was awesome, the music was great, and the food from Cucci's was as awesome as it ever was. It was definetly one hot night. A total of 60 vehciles attended the Summer Cruise In and there were people hanging around all night having a great time. Our friends at Cucci's soaked up the atmosphere doning 50's fashon and enjoyed a very busy night. We had so much fun that we are going to do it again in August.
CRUISIN' COVINGTON VI - JULY 8, 2022
The rain came yet again to Cruisin' Covington. The few that attended still got some cruising in before the skies opened up yet again. We sure could use some drier weather for these events.
CRUISIN' COVINGTON V - JULY 1, 2022
Rain, rain, rain, rain. It seems like we get more and more every year. We got a little cruising in before the skies opened up. The weather shortened the event and cut the attendance, but everyone still had a great time.
3RD ANNUAL BACK THE BLUE SCHOLARSHIP CAR SHOW - JUNE 18, 2022
The 3rd Annual Back the Blue Scholarship Car Show was an amazing event. The weather was perfect and 108 show vehicles were present. The entrants and public all had a great time enjoying the cars, vendors, and great law enforcement displays and demonstrations. Congressman Ben Cline even paid us a visit and complimented our community and our event. A good deal of money was raised for the Back the Blue Scholarship which will aide area students wishing to further their education in the criminal justice field. It was a great day and a defining moment for the Alleghany Cruisers.

CARS & COFFEE III - JUNE 11, 2002
It was a beautiful day for our third and final Cars & Coffee for the spring. Turnout was light but everyone enjoyed a nice morning socializing. We look forward to our three Cars & Coffee events this fall, hoping for a better turn out.
CRUISIN' COVINGTON IV - JUNE 10, 2022
The skies were gray but the rain held off for Cruisin' Covington IV. It was another great night with nearly 60 cars out and both new and familiar faces. Great time out cruising and hanging out with friends.
CRUISIN' COVINGTON III - JUNE 3, 2022
The weather was perfect and the crowd was awesome. Cruisin' Covington III was a fantastic night. Over 50 cars were out cruising the town and everyone had a great time at our informal cruise in at Wal Mart
CARS & COFFEE II - MAY 21, 2022
The sun was shinning bright for the second Cars & Coffee event of 2022. Unfortunately, this had not been the case for nearly a month and a large event in our area and another nearby that had been postponed got parked right on top of us. The crowd was light, bet everyone still had a great time enjoying each others company, cars, and of course good coffee.
CRUISIN' COVINGTON II - MAY 20, 2022
After three straight weekends we finally got a break from the rain and Cruisin's Covington II was a huge success. The weather was perfect and over 50 cars and trucks took to the streets. A nice informal cruise in also formed at the Wal Mart parking lot. It was a fun event, hopefully these will continue to grow.
CRUISIN' COVINGTON I - MAY 14, 2022
After being postponed the week before do to a monsoon Cruisin' Covington finally got off the ground on May 14. Unfortunately the rain which has plagued our area for three consecutive weekends made yet another appearence. Fortunately the few cars that did turn out were able to enjoy a little cruising before the rain set again once again. We were able to enjoy a nice dinner together though. Here is hoping for much drier weather ahead.
COVINGTON CARS & COFFEE I - APRIL 30, 2022
The Alleghany Cruisers hosted their first ever official event on April 30,2022. Cars & Coffee I was a lot of fun, even if the weather was kind of lousy. Although just 23 vehicles were present everyone had a great time and a fun morning together talking cars and solving the worlds problems.
