HINTON RAILROAD DAYS CAR SHOW
HINTON WV - OCTOBER 11, 2025
A few members of the Alleghany Cruisers were on the road again Saturday. This weekends stop was the Hinton Railroad Days Car Show in Hinton WV. First of all, we have to say that this was a great show, over 90 show vehicles on site. While the day started out chilly, and it was a foggy drive over, it turned out to be a truly beautiful day. The car show itself was part of the Hinton Railroad Days Festival, which we must say is an amazing event. This event was held right in the middle of downtown Hinton WV and featured live music, over 100 vendors, and lots of great food. The car show was also held downtown, but the fall scheduling and pleasant weather made this a great venue. The folks that hosted the show were super friendly and exhibited terrific hospitality. We all saw a lot of cars that we had not seen before today. What was truly humbling though were the people we met that follow our club’s website and Facebook, the car culture truly is made up of some wonderful people, and today’s event was a perfect gathering for everyone. Plenty to do and plenty to see with an awesome atmosphere. It was another great day with our friends.

MOUNTAIN MAGIC IN FALL CAR SHOW
BUCHANAN VA - OCTOBER 4, 2025
A few members of the Alleghany Cruisers headed to Buchanan VA for the Mountain Magic in Fall Car Show. It was a beautiful day with an awesome turnout

D.A.R.E TO CRUISE CAR SHOW
JIM'S DRIVE IN
LEWISBURG WV - SEPTEMBER 20, 2025
Several members of the Alleghany Cruisers were on the road Saturday. This weekend’s stop was the D.A.R.E To Cruise Car Show in Lewisburg WV hosted by the Lewisburg Police Department. This was a great show held at a great venue. A section of Route 60 was blocked off for show cars in the vicinity of Jim’s Drive In. It was an absolutely beautiful day with 108 show vehicles present. The event was well run and very organized and of course we all had some excellent food from Jim’s Drive In. Much like our own Back the Blue Scholarship Car Show this event exemplifies the great relationship that much of the car community has with our friends in law enforcement. We all have a common interest in the safe use of our roads so that we can maximize our enjoyment as enthusiasts. A great day with our friends across the state line.

COVINGTON LABOR DAY PARADE
COVINGTON VA
SEPTEMBER 1, 2025
Several members of the Alleghany Cruisers participated in the Annual Labor Day parade in Covington VA on Monday. It was a great event with a very large turnout. We always enjoy being a part of these great community events

AHS BAND AND CHOIR KICK OFF
CAR SHOW
JRSC
COVINGTON VA - AUGUST 23, 2025
I know I say it on here a lot but the true success of an event is always measured in the atmosphere and the happiness of those attending it. The AHS Band and Choir Kick Off event exemplified both of these elements. Several members of the Alleghany Cruisers were in attendance at the car show that was held as a part of this great event, in fact a few members even assisted with it. It was a great evening altogether. There were 27 show vehicles on hand, but the public support was phenomenal. It was awesome to see so many people engaged with this event, especially the AHS students and the parents that came out to support them. The Band and Choir Boosters did an awesome job, not only with the car show, but the whole event. There were a lot of activities and the kids really seemed to enjoy themselves. On top of all of this the Covington Department of Parks & Recreation hosted a live concert by Wilson Fairchild and it was one of the best attended, and most entertaining concerts of the year. It was a great evening seeing so many people out supporting our students and supporting our community. It was a great evening with an electric atmosphere. We really enjoyed it and we hope that this becomes an annual even

STAR CITY CRUISERS
VETERANS CAR SHOW
SALEM CIVIC CENTER
SALEM VA - AUGUST 16, 2025
The Alleghany Cruisers were on the road again Saturday with several members attending the Annual Car, Truck, & Bike Show hosted by our friends the Star City Cruisers. This is a great and long running event that supports our Veterans. First off I have to say that this was a great event. The Star City Cruisers really put a lot of work into this show and it shows. The event was very well organized, well run, and hosted by some very friendly folks. We felt welcome from the moment we entered the lot. And what an awesome show, around 200 vehicles. I may have missed a few that came in late but tried to get photos of most of them. It was a beautiful day and everything about this show was class one. If you have never attended this event you really need to. And we hope to see some of you in Alleghany County this fall. Awesome day with our friends.

STATE FAIR OF WEST VIRGINIA

Around 80 vehicles were on hand and we enjoyed seeing our friends again from across the state line and making some new ones. It was a beautiful day and the show had an amazing atmosphere. We always look forward to coming to this event. Another great day with our friends.

A few members of the Alleghany Cruisers headed west once again, this weekends event was the Adopt A Cop Car Show in White Sulphur Springs WV. It was a great show for a great cause but unfortunately the rain that has plagued the region this summer came yet again. Overall though another fun day with friends.

RIVERMONT ROCKBRIDGE CAR SHOW
FAIRFIELD WV - JULY 19, 2025
The Alleghany Cruisers were on the road again Saturday. After three consecutive weeks of heading west several of us decided to head east this weekend to support the Rivermont Rockbridge Car Show in Fairfield VA. It was a great event with 44 show vehicles present. The weather was warm but stayed dry for the duration of the event (which is more than we can say about the ride home). The folks that host this event are great people; several folks we talked to today have attended our events this year and plan to attend more in the future. The show was very well run and very organized. These folks also came up with some great door prizes. We really enjoyed this show and we will definitely be attending it again next year. Another great day with our friends.

T.A.H.O.E FARM CLUB CAR SHOW
CALDWELL WV - JULY 19, 2025
A couple members of the Alleghany Cruisers attended the T.A.H.O.E Farm Club's Annual Car Show in Caldwell WV. It was great event hosted by some very friendly folks. Unfortunately the ever present threat of storms kept the attendance down to just 23 vehicles it was a still a well presented event. Ultimately the rain came and cut the event short, but it was another great effort from our friends in West Virginia.

Following the successful Back the Blue Scholarship Car Show last weekend a few members of the Alleghany Cruisers were on the road Saturday. This weekends stop was the Children’s Miracle Network Car Show held at Wal Mart in Lewisburg WV. We really want to commend the folks that put this show together on extremely short notice and kept it alive after it had looked as though it wouldn’t happen this year. The new manager of the Lewisburg Wal Mart and the entire crew involved with this event are a very enthusiastic group and we know that this show will grow. We had a great time at this event and enjoyed visiting with several of our friends from Wild and Wonderful West Virginia. It was a well-presented event and we look forward to seeing it grow next year. Fun day in the company of friends.

2025 CLIFTON FORGE LITTLE LEAGUE
CAR SHOW
M.G.C.C - CLIFTON FORGE VA
JUNE 14, 2025
Several members of the Alleghany Cruisers attended the 5th Annual Clifton Forge Little League Car Show Saturday. Although the weather was looking questionable in the morning, it turned out to be a great day with the rain holding off until late. We really enjoy this event as the shear number of cars present are not what defines an event, it is the atmosphere. And the atmosphere was friendly and casual at this event. We all had a great time. Mountain Gateway Community College with its ample parking and shaded area’s is a great venue for a car show and we feel as though this event could take its place as a spiritual successor to the now defunct Douthat Lake Run. The folks from the Clifton Forge Little League did a great job with this event. A very enjoyable day for all.
