WINGS AND WHEELS CAR SHOW
GREENBRIER VALLEY AIRPORT
LEWISBURG WV - JUNE 13, 2026
Several members of the Alleghany Cruisers were on the Road again Saturday. This week’s stop was the Wings and Wheels Car Show and Fly In at the Greenbrier Valley Airport in Lewisburg WV. To start with we just cannot say enough good things about this event. The weather was superb and the Greenbrier Valley Airport was a perfect venue for this kind of event. There were a ton of show cars on hand, and quite a few airplanes. It is not every day that you get to look at planes as well as cars at an event like this. The hospitality from the folks putting on the show was excellent and we all had a very good time. As an added bonus five AH-64 Apache attack helicopters landed to refuel on their way back to FT Campbell KY. We got to meet the pilots and crewmen and view the aircraft up close and personal. Friendly guys that really seemed to enjoy talking about their aircraft, and of course we thanked them all for their service. This was a fabulous event and we look forward to seeing it return next year. An awesome day with our car friends.

OLD TOWN CAR SHOW
CLIFTON FORGE VA - JUNE 6, 2026
The Alleghany Cruisers love our community and several of our members headed to Clifton Forge VA Saturday to support the all new Old Town Car Show hosted by the folks affiliated with Clifton Forge Main Street. It was a beautiful day for a car show and this one did not disappoint. This was a great event with a great atmosphere in a great setting. The folks hosting this event did an amazing job, the event was well organized, well run, and everyone involved was super friendly. Atmosphere is what truly makes a car show great, and getting 54 show vehicles at a brand new event is awesome. We were excited to hear that this is going to become an annual event. Great event and a great day with our friends.

MISSFITS FIELD DAY FUN CAR SHOW
PAINT BANK VA - MAY 30, 2026
Several members of the Alleghany Cruisers attended the Misfits Car Club Fun Day Car Show. It was a beautiful day for a car show and these folks did an excellent job with this event.

BLUE COLLAR RATS & RODS
SPRING CRUISE IN
ORGAN CAVE WV - MAY 16, 2026
The Alleghany Cruisers were on the road again Saturday. This week’s stop was Organ Cave WV for the Blue-Collar Rats & Rods Car Club’s Spring Cruise In. First of all, I want to say that the folks with Blue Collar Rats & Rods are some great people. It is awesome to see a car club in the Greenbrier Valley again after the demise of the Throttle Throbs a few years back. It was a great day for a car event, the rain actually held off until after the show was over, honestly, we didn’t even think it was calling for it today, but at least it didn’t mess anything up. The attendance at today’s event was awesome with over 70 show vehicles present. There also were some great raffle prizes and great food. Most of all though, the hospitality towards our club and everyone present was great. These are some friendly folks and we really enjoyed ourselves today. Another great day with our car friends

CHROME CHRIST CAR SHOW
TRACTOR SUPPLY - COVINGTON VA
MAY 9, 2026
Several members of the Alleghany Cruisers were on hand at the inaugural Chrome Christ Car Show Saturday held at Tractor Supply in Covington VA. This event was a fund raiser for the Cornerstone Church in Covington VA. First of all, I want to say that these folks did an amazing job with this event. It was well promoted, very organized, and well run. A total of 47 vehicles were present for this show, which is a great total for a first show. Alisha Hoke and all of the folks from Cornerstone Church should be very proud of this event that they created. The atmosphere was amazing, the weather was perfect, and the food service from Blow’N Smoke BBQ, Sweets & Swigs, and the church was outstanding. I personally was happy to be able to provide a small amount of assistance with this event, and everyone seemed to have a great time. This was a fun event and we are looking forward to seeing it again next year.

WSS GGSL CAR SHOW
WSS WV - MAY 2, 2026
Several members of the Alleghany Cruisers were on the road today. This weekends stop was the White Sulphur Springs GGSL Car Show at Bethesda Church. It was a cool, breezy, yet sunny and beautiful day for a car show. As is always the case, the hospitality here was excellent. Levi and Brandi Masters and their crew did an excellent job with this event. The turnout was very good, especially considering the number of shows being held on this weekend. We always enjoy our visits to West Virginia. Great people that always make you feel welcome. We truly enjoyed our day and we look forward to heading back across the state line again soon

CARS & COFFEE AT GARCIA'S BISTRO
COVINGTON VA - APRIL 4, 2026
Several members of the Alleghany Cruisers attended the first ever Cars & Coffee at Garcia's Bistro in Covington VA. It was a beautiful morning with our friends. The atmosphere was great and the food was terrific. We are looking forward to having Garcia's Bistro on board as a food vendor at some of our events this year, wonderful people. Great morning spent at a great local business.

MDA CAR SHOW
SALEM VA - MARCH 28, 2026
The 2026 Car Event season officially started in the region today with the MDA Car Show at the Salem Civic Center. A few members of the Alleghany Cruisers made the trek to Salem today to support this great long running event. It is kind of sad to see the MDA Car Show end after this year, we have some great memories from this event at its former location the Berglund Center. That said however, in many ways we liked this year’s version better. By switching to a more traditional one day outdoor show format the event was opened up too many more participants than in years past. And there were a lot of vehicles onsite, honestly, we don’t know how many as some left early, but others kept coming in. Normally I try to photograph each car, but I couldn’t pull it off this time. Another commitment (tickets to the Sail On Beach Boys Tribute concert) required me to leave a little early, so if I missed your car I apologize. Overall, it was a great event, it was chilly but that didn’t hurt the vibe one bit. The MDA committee did a great job with this event. We really enjoyed and really enjoyed seeing so many of our friends in the Roanoke Valley. We hope to see many of you at some of our events this year.
